The Abbotsford Skating Club would like to extend a warm welcome to all our new members, and say "Welcome Back!" to all the returning members for our 2010/2011 winter season. We hope you will join us as we look forward to a season full of fun and great skating. Please check the display board in the lobby of MRC for important information regarding your Club and its members.

This booklet is provided as a guide to help you understand our programs and provide important information regarding equipment, rules, and special dates. Our Executive – all volunteers – work very hard to provide the best possible programs and schedules for our skaters. Feel free to contact any Executive member or coach if you have any questions or concerns.

Our club enjoys Gaming revenue from bingo time slots at Chances in Abbotsford. We need to be on-site in the role of "Ambassador" during our time slots (dates/times TBA) and volunteer workers will receive ice credits for each time they work.

Abbotsford executive meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month. The deadline for submissions to the executive meeting agenda is the Friday prior to that meeting.

40th Anniversary Ice Show

To celebrate our 40th year of skating in Abbotsford, we will be staging an ice show at MSA Arena on Saturday, April 2, 2011. The week of March 28 to April 1 between 4 and 8 pm is reserved for practices and rehearsals. There will be a dress rehearsal in the morning on April 2, then a matinee and evening performance.

Block the date(s) and watch for details about registration to participate that will come out in early fall.

**Hockey Disruptions

At the time of printing, final cancellations due to hockey tournaments were not finalized. Therefore the schedule has been costed with the known cancellations only. If there are any ice disruptions in the next season due to hockey tournaments, the ASC Board of Directors will make an exception to the refund policy and, at its discretion, issue either refunds or ice credits to our members.
